Xflowsion, The New Way to Shape Up

Hey there. My wife and I had our hopes on going to the gym this year to work out and shape up. Like many others that made that resolution, it didn't happen. I don't know if it's the tediousness of it, or the work like atmosphere of the gym, but we just could not bring ourselves to get up and go. We've talked about doing some exercising at home. She wants to do yoga. I think it's not for me. I want to do some martial arts stuff. It's not for her. We've even talked about taking some dance lessons as a way to get up and move. If there was only a way to combine all three... Wait a minute, there is. Welcome, XFLOWSION .

Xflowsion is a new way to stay in shape and is great for everyday people that can't find their way to the gym. It combines 3 work outs into one to keep the body guessing and avoids that plateau that many of us experience with routine exercising. Xflowsion is intense for muscle building, it's subtle for muscle toning, and it's fast paced to get that heart pumping. A 4 DVD set that will get you the body and mind that you've been wishing for. Need a quick pick up to get your blood flowing? Check out the "Live in Hollywood" DVD and get your body moving. A quick pump up before a date? Pop in the "Body Blast" DVD and go out looking and feeling strong. High stress at work? "Calm Down Dog" is the DVD to being those anxiety and stress levels down. This is a great set of workout videos that you need to check out.

XFLOWSION has been advertised on high profile magazines such as People and In Style. Get it at the link above and not only will you get the 4 DVD set, but also 2 audio books, 2 guidebooks, and free shipping & handling by using the discount code provided on their home page. It's known that if you have an exercise buddy, you are more than likely to keep at it. Hopefully, my wife and I will not only keep at it, but start a new activity that will not only give us quality time together, but also better ourselves in the process. Later.

A Six Pack for Favre

Hey there friends. What a weekend of football it was this weekend. A 470+ yard passer loses the game, an emotional game for a kicker, a crazy 76 yard field goal attempt, 6 TD tosses in 3 qrts, NFC giants clash in an epic game... I mean, man, was there some good football out there. Let's get to the games I was able to watch.

Jets V. Cardinals (56-35)

Story of the week, football god, Brett Favre, throws 6 TD in a game against the Cardinals. For all the feats he accomplished in Green Bay, never once did he throw for 6 TDs in a game. The Jets looked formidable on offence. Potent. Favre looked comfortable for once. He did not look confused at times and the Jets did an awesome job on changing the scheme of the plays instead of changing Favre. Favre is a veteran and the Jets should have changed their play book to accommodate his skills, not have Favre learn all sorts of new formations and plays that did not utilize his skills. We finally saw those 4, even 5 wide out formations that gave Favre the chance for the long bomb and it paid off huge for the Jets. The defence, however, coughed up 30+ points to a Cardinals team that was not in it's A game. The Cards spent the week over in the east coast instead of flying back and forth, to better rested and prepared for the game. It didn't work. Even though Kurt Warner threw for over 470 yards, the offence never seemed to be on the same page. He tossed a few interceptions, fumbled on a few occasions, but Fitzgerald and Boldin refused to go down without a fight. That is one killer combo and if they can keep Warner on his feet(or in the near future, USC's Matt) then this combo can do some major damage in the NFL. On that note, Boldin suffered from a monster hit when he was sandwiched between 2 defenders with .30 left in the game. He was hospitalized for precautionary reasons but looking at that hit, it definitely looked more severe than it was. The football gods were smiling down on him and hopefully, he'll be back on the field real soon.

Packers V. Bucs (21-30)

I must admit that I did not have my full attention on this game. My brother was over at my place during the early games and he brought his laptop, which needed some fixing. So while doing that, I was tuning in on the games. The story in this game was the death of Matt Bryant's 3 month old son. Sad, sad, times for the Bryant family. His son died in his sleep. I am not sure what the cause of death was, but I'm leaning more towards SIDS, since it's something that terrifies the hell out of parents since no one knows the causes and takes our little ones without warning. Our prayers are with you, friend. As for the game, sloppy play by Aaron Rodgers. His inexperience crept out in this game causing him to toss 3 INTs. Give credit to the Bucs defense, though. They looked sharp and pounced on Rodgers' mistakes making him pay. Their great D is also to blame for Rodger's injury. Running from pressure, Aaron took off running for a first down, Bucs defender catches Aaron's ankle causing him to land face first, or should I say shoulder first, causing a separated shoulder. He came out of the game for a short series, but came right back to toss a TD pass. After the throw, however, you can tell that he was ailing and was favoring his throwing shoulder. If Aaron is hurt, Green Bay will be in big trouble. They gambled on Rodgers to be their man, but they do not have a legitimate back up for him. They have 2 rookies that are unproven and without experience with the first team. I look for Green Bay to sign a veteran QB real soon as an insurance policy. Will Culpepper wear the green and yellow in the near future?

Saints V. 49ners (31-17)

Duece is back and the Saints are waaaaaay better because of it. I don't know what the deal is with Reggie. The man is a stud that should be able to showcase some of the talent that oozed out of him at USC but it just hasn't happened yet. Duece, however, comes back and immediate shows Reggie how it's done, running for 70+ yards and a TD in his return. If the Saints can find a way to mingle these 2, these Saints can be unstoppable. Brees can play, tossing over 350 yards and 3 scores, so you know you'll always have a chance to win with him behind center, the defence is not outstanding, but gets the job done, and their 1-2 combo of Duece and Reggie has potential to be one of the best. Overall, this is a team that will lose if they lose the games themselves. Reggie is prone to fumbling, Brees could have a bad game, Duece is back, but I doubt at 100%. If this team can keep those turnovers to a minimum, they will be a force to be reckoned with.

Denver V. KC (19-33)

I'm an Oakland fan. I keep a close eye to the AFC West and KC pulled a rabbit out of their hat and showed up to dismantle that atrocious defence of Denver. There is no doubting that the Denver offence is good. They have a great, young receiving core in Marshall and Royal and they have a blossoming QB in Cutler that is well ahead of the curve for his age. This team is going places, but only if the defence pays attention. KC's Larry Johnson just cut 'em up for close to 200 yards on the ground, keeping Cutler and his crew on the sidelines, limiting his chances to pull a comeback. KC is still a long ways from being anything. Huard is not the answer for KC and he's merely in there to manage the game. He did toss a spectacular pass to Gonzalez in the corner of the end zone. The outstretched Gonzalez did his part by stretching out over the defender to get his hands on it. He landed awkwardly and held on for the TD, but he came up gingerly and seemed to have some bruising in his midsection.

Those were the morning games that I was able to catch. Still working on my bro's laptop. But once 1 PM rolled around, I put that thing down and focused on the Raider game.

Oakland V. San Diego (18-28)

This Oakland team is beginning to frustrate me. They are better than their 1-3 record indicates. They suffered a tough loss to a top ranked Bills team last week on a last second field goal and again, loss this game in the final minutes of the 4th qtr to a tough, tough SD squad. Russell came out of his shell in this game. The offense finally opened it up and let him spread his wings. The passing game showed brilliance in the first half, highlighted by a 60+ yard pass to TE Miller for a TD. The defence was outstanding. Limiting the Bolts to practically nothing in the ground and several 3 and outs. The Raiders were feeling so good about themselves that they even attempted a 76 yard field goal. That's right, 76 yards!!!! Janikowski has a leg that can make that type of kick. He's rumored to hit 80 yarders during practice so it was only a matter of time before they gave him a chance during a game. It was the final seconds of the first half so it didn't hurt the Raiders to try. Then.... the Bolts woke up. Rivers led his team to a lengthy drive to start the half limiting and reducing the momentum that the Raiders had. After a few 3 and outs for the Raiders and costly INT, Rivers led his team in the 4th qtr to finally take the lead over the Raiders. The Raiders fought back, to tie the game on a field goal with a little over 2 mins left, but on the following kick off return, SD ran it back 60+ yards to put the Bolts in a commanding position. That return was a killer. All SD had to do now was give LT the ball, who was having a quite game due to the Oakland defence. LT gashed the Raiders on a 4o+ yard score and that was that. Raiders are there. The team just does not know how to finish a game. The 4th quarter is killing this team and I want to say it's because of Russell's inexperience. It's tough to finish a game with a semi-rookie (only started a few games last season) who has not found his rhythm yet. He's getting there, though. He looked good in this game. Was not timid to toss the ball down the field and as a testament to this man's arm strength, get this. As Russell was scrambling away from the SD defence, will falling away he tosses the ball close to 70 yards down field nearly completing the pass that was broken up the SD defender that did not quit on the play. Give that man credit for recognizing Russell's strength because I doubt that anyone else, besides Favre, would attempt and possibly complete a pass that hung in the air for close to 70 yards.

Washington V. Dallas (26-24)

What a game. 2 NFC powerhouses clashed and it did not disappoint. Dallas is a heavy favorite to not only win this division, but to go on and represent the NFC in the super bowl. The Skins have their plans to win that division and they came to play. The Skin's D kept Owens in check most of the game, even though Dallas attempted to get him the ball. He ended up with 7 catches and a score, but the Dallas receiving core was pretty well rounded in terms of catches. Romo threw for about 300 yards and 3 scores, going toe to toe with the Skin's Campbell. In contrast to the Dallas balance, Washington showcased a strong dual in Portis and Moss. Clinton Portis finally broke one free and rushed for over 100 yards. If you can run the ball, you hold on it to longer and in this case, you needed to hold on to the ball to limit Romo and TO to make that comeback. But it wasn't all Portis, Santana Moss came up big with close to 150 yards receiving, making it look like child's play, constantly burning his defender. In the end, Romo with no time outs, marches his squad down the field for a score with close to a minute left. The onside kick is attempted and it looks like Dallas has it, but it slips right through the hands of Dallas receiver Sam Hurd. Just like a heavy weight fight that goes the distance, this was a good one. As for Dallas, they forced the issue with TO. I think Romo lost some good opportunities down the field because he was forcing the issue with TO. I understand that he's a playmaker, but if the play is not there, check down to the second or third option. Of course, TO complained that he didn't get enough catches and the man will derail this offence if his "divaness" rears it's head. He's been quiet these pass few seasons and that's because the team was winning, but if the team loses another one in the near future, expect some fireworks to coming out of his mouth, burning his own team and their super bowl hopes.

Philly V. Chicago (24-20)

This Bears defence is beginning to impress me. Donovan was beginning to look like the Donovan of old, torching some defences, but the Bears kept him and the Eagles in check. Donovan was good for 1 TD and 1 INT for about 250 yards but the Eagles needed just one more to win the game. On their final possession, Donovan leads his team 70+ yards down the field to the Bears 1 yard line. Knowing that 3 points will not suffice, the Eagles go for it on fourth down to punch it in. Bears D came to play and held the Eagles to their side of the line of scrimmage, winning the game on their spectacular goal line stance. The Bears D wasn't the only one that shined for the Bears, despite throwing 2 INTs, Kyle Orton is showing the Bears that he has what it take to win the game by tossing 3 TDs in only 18 completions. The Achilles heel for the Bears has been the play of QB Rex Grossman. The defence has always been great and the team merely needed a QB that would not lose the game. Rex was a crap shoot every game. You just did not know what you were going to get with him. Now that Orton is in there, you know that you're going to get points on the board. He's a more accurate thrower and if given the chance, will chuck it down field for the big play. You also know that he's effective in the 2 minute drill and will not buckle the way Rex did. This wasn't his best game, but he showed his team that he can be counted on, and that's huge for a team that struggled with QB issues for the last few years.

Reckless Driving

Hey there. Taking a few mins to let you guys know what went down last night. It was pretty much a normal ride home, we laughed, we sang songs (nothing to bring the family together like Black Hole Sun, lol) and we talked about our day. As we were getting off the freeway, I noticed a white truck behind me. Nothing out of the ordinary, was slowing down, going to make a right turn, like myself, waiting for the light to turn green. All of a sudden, the siren blazes and a cop comes racing down the off ramp. Before we knew it, that white truck stepped on it, swerved to the right of me, missing us by millimeters, damn hear hits 2 other cars as he barges into the intersection, and burned rubber.

Whoa!

I turned around to make sure my kids were alright. A little shocked, but cool. My wife freaked a lil, only because the truck was so close to her side and we were extremely fortunate that it didn't hit us. As we made our right turn and continued down the street, we see a lot of our neighbors hanging around outside. My wife thought out loud that they must've caught him since there were cops everywhere. Quick response time by the cops, by the way. I was surprisingly pleased with their response time. By the time we reached the neighbors, which was no more than a minute from the time he speed passed us, 4 cops cars had zoomed by, and there was a barricade further down the street. I was like, damn, they're really on their game tonight.

Anyways, my wife notices that the cars parked outside are smashed. The asshole driver of the white truck struck many of the cars that were parked outside. He smashed the door of one car, took off the side mirror or another, and rear ended another. But once we got to the corner, we found out what was up. The trucked smashed into the corner building, taking out half of the wall. Damn!!! But get this... there was no driver!!! The bastard took off running!!! We saw a few cops on foot so I'm pretty sure that were on pursuit. As we turned to get into our block, I could've sworn I saw a few cops on the floor cuffing someone. We didn't take any chances though, we got home, locked the doors, kept an eye on the windows, and I had my trusty sword at hand... just in case some bastard tried to hide in my yard. lol I'd slice the SOB that threatens my family.

It was a perfect opportunity to reiterate the importance of seat belts, the law, and reckless driving to the kids. Crazy stuff man. Was this close to being by some fool running from the law. Later!

Said the Princess to the Frog

Once upon a time in a land far away
a beautiful, independent, self-assured princess
happened upon a frog as she sat
contemplating ecological issues
on the shores of an unpolluted pond
in a verdant meadow near her castle.
The frog hopped into the princess' lap
and said, "Elegant lady,
I was once a handsome prince,
until an evil witch cast a spell upon me.
One kiss from you, however,
and I will turn back
into the dapper, young prince that I am
and then, my sweet, we can marry
and set up housekeeping in your castle
with my mother,
where you can prepare my meals,
clean my clothes,
bear my children,
and forever feel grateful and happy doing so."
That night,
as the princess dined sumptuously
on lightly sauteed frog legs
seasoned in a white wine
and onion cream sauce,
she chuckled and thought to herself,
"I don't fuckin' think so."

Busy Weekend

Hey there friends. I am beat. I haven't had a chance to do a quality post in sometime. Work has been crazy, no time to do shit there cause, well, I'm working hard. lol Then we had one of our more busier 3 days in awhile. On Friday, we went out to my wife's cuz's B day party. My wife started to feel sick but we decided to go anyways. It began to get a little cold and not to mention a little windy so we left soon after. I believe this is when my wife got sick.

On Saturday, we had 2 birthday parties to attend. After some thorough thinking and noticing that my wife is now sick, we decided to go to only one of the parties. I think that we both would of prefered to stay home since we were both sick, her more so than I, but we went because it was our soon to be goddaughter's B day and we couldn't disappoint. My cuz was also having a B day party that evening but we sratched that one too. At the B day party, the kids played games and we hung out with some of my old friends from back in the day and it was pretty cool. I had to get on a roof to help with the "pinyata" (spelled that way cause I have no idea how to put that "~" over the n). I'm not big on heights. I can get on roller coasters and what not, but that's because I know that I'm securely strapped in. On a roof, if you slip, that's your ass on the floor so I had to not look over the edge or be real careful with my footing. And then to top it off, I needed to get the "unsafe" part of the roof, which was not flat and all angled, and need to tug away at the rope so that I can give the pinyata lift. lol The night ended with a friend of mine teaching my wife a new "salsa move" so that we can hear about an embarrassing moment in his life. Trust me, this guy has many an embarrassing moment so this was meant to be good if he swore his sister to not tell a soul. lol I'll write about those moments some other time. lol We heard the story, had a few laughs, then headed home.

Tired, we got up Sunday morning, rushing to get dressed. Sunday we were to baptize our soon to be goddaugher. I missed football Sunday, entirely! What a waste of NFL ticket!!! lol It was good cause though, but still... No football!!!! I only got to see the first half the Raider game. We were kicking ass and looking somewhat empressive over a Bills team that looked pretty good the two previous weeks. Anyways, we got to driving over to get our goddaughter ready. We gave her a bath and got her all suited up. I have pics, but I don't have them with me, I can't post. I'll get to it when I get home. We soon then jumpped in the car and off we went to the church. While driving thtough the streets of Downtown Los Angeles, I get a text message that the Raiders lost on a last second fieldgoal. NO!!!! I pound on the steering wheel in disappointment. lol So while at church, we could not understand the priest what so ever. I mean, you can hear the guy, but I just could no understand the words that were coming out of his mouth. We finally got through the sacrement, and we heading out to eat with my comadre and compadre and my compare's mother. We walked around Olvera St and settled in on a place. We chowed down and off we went, on seperate ways.

We finally got home and started to relax. By then, Sunday night football was over... We finally had a chance to just settle down and relax some. I gave my wife a good, long rub down and shortly thereafter, drifted to sleep. Long three day weekend for us. All in all, it was good, but it could've been better if we weren't sick. Last thing we need to get any of our friends or goddaughter sick. I think we're just going to go home and take a nap. lol Let our bodies rest up some. Later!

Windows Vista

Hey there. I'm sure that we've all experienced computer problems before. Whether they happen at work or at home, you just can't seem to avoid them. Just the other day, my boss, my wife and I spent almost two hours revising and evaluating our company's policy and procedures when it happened. Microsoft word stopped responding! We waiting a few minutes hoping that it will respond and all will be good but it wasn't meant to be. All of our hard word work gone. Even though we saved our document, "in case something happened", our changes were nowhere to be found. What a frustrating moment that was. Our IT guys were useless and my boss, not being very computer savvy, was ready to toss the machine out the window.

While at home, my wife and I discussed the incident at work. We knew that we had to go back and tackle that task again. While working on our personal laptop, I realized that we have not had any issues whatsoever with Windows Vista. The computers at work run on Windows XP. Compared to Vista, they seem to be slow and less responsive to multi tasking. I always have spreadsheets, word docs, and online applications going on all at once at work and it's freustrating when one application won't respond. While working at home, under Windows Vista, I have yet to have that issue.

I suggested to the boss that it would be a step forward to upgrade to Windows Vista. Since it's more productive and efficient than XP, it will save the company time and money. Not to mention that it also comes with a Windows Backup and Restore Center! I've made the pitch to him, hitting home the points of free customer support and assistance. He seemed to like the idea and will pitch it to his boss. I've grown weary of having to wait for applications to respond. Hopefully, we'll be running Vista Small Business or Vista Ultimate real soon. Later.

Sunday, Crappy Sunday

Hey there. Football Sunday was not as well as last Sunday. Not because of football. I caught some pretty good games and all, but because I woke up that morning feeling like crap. Head pounding, body aching, and my nose a runnin'. I plopped myself on the couch, covered with a blanket, and just lied there watching my Raiders kick some Chief ass. I tuned back and forth between the Raider game, the Indy game, and the Saints game. Keeping to my Raider loyalty, I always select a few players from the Raiders to be on my fantasy team. This year, I have their defence, kicker, JaMarcus (backup), and their Miller, their tight end. I don't expect JaMarcus to put up big numbers because of the run game, so I expect that Miller would be big for the passing game, catching many short passes. So far, it hasn't happened. Also, word on the street is that the coach Lane Kiffin may be on his way out. Dude can be fired as early as today. We'll wait and see what's up with that.

As for Indy, Peyton, you're supposed to be my cream and butter, man. You only scored me a measly 9 pts or so. I expected Manning to post 20+ pts a game for us fantasy players, but again, many of us expected Brady to do the same and that ain't happening either. Even though they came up with a win on some last second heroics, their game was completely put off by the inexperience of their O-line. Ugoh got hurt and that was that... Saturday was out, Clark was out (also my fantasy team. Waiting for him to get healthy since I know he's a better TE than the young Miller)and now Ugoh. Pass rushers were all over Manning, pressuring him to toss 2 INTs in a mediocre game for Manning. Get it together guys.

I kept tabs on the Saints game because I have Reggie on my team. Didn't get much out of him this week. He had a great game last week but not this time around. I'm glad that they're using him more in the passing game. With his explosiveness (which we saw glimpse of in Week 1) he should be able to break a tackle or two for some big yardage. The Skins, however, relatively kept him in check. I'm surprised that they came up with the victory. Saints D couldn't stop them on a critical 3rd down conversion late in the game and that was that.

As those games ended, me feeling more like crap, the afternoon games started. Brett Favre and the Jets up against the Bradyless Bradys, I mean Pats. On the other channel, Denver and the Bolts. Had to keep an eye on the AFC West rivals. I saw more of the Denver game since it was more enticing. The Pats game had a relatively slow tempo to it while the other was basically a shootout. It wasn't with some controversy too. In the red zone, with SD looking to score, their WR caught the ball and when he hit the floor, the ball came loose. For all of us football fans, we know that if the ball comes loose because of the ground, the player is down. Well, they ruled it a fumble, Denver recovers, and even though the Bolts challenged it, the "replay equipment was not functioning" so the play had to stand as called. Denver makes em pay scoring a TD on that drive. Fast forward, late in the game, Denver is driving, now in the red zone looking to score. Cutler breaks to his right, cocks his arm for the throw, but what's this?!?!?!! It slips out of his hands, SD recovers the fumble with less than 2 mins left and SD up by 7. Game over!!! NOT!!! Refs blew the whistle once the ball his the ground, the play being called an incomplete pass. The weird thing about it is that Denver was at the 2 or 3 yard line when Cutler fumbled, but the refs placed the ball on the 10 yard line. What the hell is that? Denver ended up scoring and went for 2 instead of trying. Guess they were leaving it up the football gods to see if they really deserved to win. The gods answered, and Denver converted, winning the game by one. Check out the highlight reel of the fumble below:

At this point, I knocked out. My daughter snuggled up by me and we took a nap. Didn't even see the Cleveland game so I don't know how that turned out. Now, I'm here at work, coughing away, still feeling like crap. Hopefully, I'll be sent home, doubt it though. Took some dayquil that my mother in law gave to me. Hope it makes the headache subdue in time to enjoy the Dallas - Philly game. The surging McNabb against the sexy pick Dallas should be a good one. Take care, friends and catch you guys later.

Work and Stupidity... Ugh

Hey there. Sometimes I (we, my wife and I work in the same company) feel that we practically run our company. These past few weeks have been especially brutal. We go to work at 7 AM, after dropping our kids at their grandma's, who take them to school. We SHOULD be getting out at 3:30 ish but there is always some shit going on where they need me or my wife. Today, was just plain bad. We were supposed to meet up with our future god daughter and her parental units so that we can get her a dress for her baptism. We took into account that we may be a little late so we scheduled to meet up at 4. Well, that didn't happen. At 4 ish, my wife is called in to do something important for the owner of the company. Well... our bosses keep her busy for a good 40 mins or so. Once she comes out, we start to shut down since we're running late, but what happens??? I'm called in to their office and am being held up while my wife is sitting on her desk, restarting her machine knowing that I'm going to be awhile. Ugh...

On a lighter note, something hilarious did happen at work today. Boss asked one of the girls there to order a white board since the one he has is "too small." The girl looks at the board and concludes that it's 3 feet by 3 feet. The woman and the board is right outside my office so I can hear her thinking out loud. First off, the board is a rectangular shape. How the hell can she conclude that it's dimensions are 3 feet by 3 feet. She then decides that to figure out the dimensions, she'll need 3 rulers. lmao At that, I got up and yelled out to her that she only needs one ruler and measured the board for her. It was 3 by 2. She takes off and makes the call, she then storms into my office and says that there is a bigger one available and that it's "24 times 36". I stare at her... waiting for her to laugh or something, but then I realize that she's serious and tell her that "24 times 36" is the same thing as 3 feet by 2 feet. She gives me this blank look and then says that she'll just order that one. No friends, she's not a blondie, I think she's just plain stupid. I've seen the same woman shave, YES SHAVE, her forehead at her desk. I couldn't believe my eyes, let alone my ears when she asked the office if Las Vegas was in California. The people I have to work with... And tomorrow, we gotta do it all again...

I've been Axed by PPP

Hey there. I'm a little ticked off that I received an Email from Pay Per Post, stating that my blog no longer qualifies to accept opportunities. They go on to claim some bullshit about "weeding out blogs" and keeping only the "elite" blogs for their advertisers. This upsets me extremely. Not only because I've been axed, but because their requirements are so minimal (90 days existence, no porn) that I don't see how they're are going to choose these elite blogs. I've only been around for about half a year and I think I've done pretty well. I definitely woutldn't classify myself as "elite" but if you think about it, elite blogs would already be well established and I'm sure that they wouldn't be hanging around PPP to make a couple of bucks when an advertiser that go directly to the blog owner. It just doesn't seem right to me. I'm pretty sure that Social Spark is next in line to be weeded out so warning to all friends that are members. The man is out and he's passing judgement...

NFL Openning Weekend is a Blur

Hey there. Yesterday was the first Sunday of the NFL and what a Sunday it was. Cincy are losers. Ocho Stinko had 1 catch for the game. Carson only had 99 yards throwing and this was supposed to be the unveiling of their high powered offence and they lose to Baltimore.

Brett Favre started his Jets era with some flashes of gunslinger Brett. Having himself a solid game, no INTS, and a wild 4th down pass for a TD. The game against the Fins was slow at times, but nevertheless, entertaining to watch Brett suit up and play.

How about them Saints? Down against the Bucs when Reggie Bush decided he came to play and helped this team survive against the Bucs. They looked good, if not great at times and if Reggie comes to play every Sunday the way he did in that 4th quarter, the Saints are a force to be reckoned with.

Did you see Donovan light it up against the Rams? What did have? Over 300 yards passing and I think 2 or 3 TDs? The man was on fire. I've always liked McNabb and if he can stay healthy this year, the Eagles can definitely go far.

What a game in San Diego!!! The Bolts were HEAVILY favored against Carolina, and me, being a Raider fan, was hoping for the upset. Boy, did I get it and some. Carolina being up in the 4th qtr allowed the Chargers to take the lead late in the game when the Chargers scored 2 TDs. Carolina, being down by 5, had to march down field and score a TD to win the game. Delhomme marched his squad and almost screwed it up when there was only 20 secs in the game the Panthers did not call time out. The ran their play and only had 6 secs left. A quick toss for a short gain and a timeout later, the Panthers only had 2 secs for a shot in the end zone. Delhomme pulls back, fires a bullet in the end zone, between 2 Charger defenders mind you, for the score. Awesome finish to that game.

I didn't watch much of the Dallas game. They were steamrolling over Cleveland so I ended up watching the SD - CAR game. This I can tell you, Dallas looks scary. They are already clicking on all cylinders and it's the first week of the season. I don't see them being beat if they continue playing the way they did.

Peyton, what happened man? I have you on my fantasy team and expected you to light up the Bears. Instead, the Bears turned on that defence and keep Manning to a single TD. The Bears rookie RB, Forte, just tore them up in the running game. I believe he had over 100 yrds rushing. The rookie looked good and Orton didn't screw up. Chicago looks to be a stronger team than last year and I see them battling Dallas for that top spot.

No, I didn't forget Brady. Horrible, horrible looking injury to his knee. Speculation is out there and he's done for the season and that's a huge shame. Top QBs are Brady and Peyton, then it's all the rest and if one of them is out, it takes off some of that competitive edge of going against the Pats. You practice and strive to beat the best but when he's out of the game, it won't be the same. It'll be one of those, "Brady didn't play, so it didn't count" type deals. Hope the injury isn't season ending but it looks more than likely that it is.

I told you guys. I didn't do a damn thing but watch football on Sunday. Gotta love NFL Sunday ticket. As for today, my Raiders are up against the despised Broncos. They've had our number the past few years. JaMarcus is starting, we have an explosive RB in McFadden, and our defense is much improved. C'mon Raiders! We gotta pull out of this, what is it now??? 6 or 7 year slump? I'll be the first to admit when my team sucks and we've been just plain horrible a good chunk of this decade. New season, starting fresh faces, Monday night football, all good indications of a new era in Raider football.

Aaron Rodgers also makes his debut against the Vikings. Best of luck to you, my friend. You got some gargantuan shoes to fill up in Green Bay.

NFL. You gotta love it. Later!

A Milestone Has Been Reached!

Hey there friends. I checked my Entrecard stats this morning and to my surprise, it shows that Metallman's Reverie has finally broken through the 200 drops list. Alright! This site has been receiving somewhere around 150 drops a day so I'm glad it finally reached the second century mark. To celebrate, September will be the "Month of 200". Which is basically my geeky way of saying that for the rest of this month, my 200th dropper will receive a 50 EC bonus for that day. Entrecard has been good to me and I've met several new friends from it so this is my way of giving back. Many thanks and catch you later.

NFL!!!

Hey there friends. Thank go that the NFL is back! I am not a fan of baseball and I hate this "dead zone" in sports. Thank you babe for the NFL Sunday Ticket!!! You know what that means... I'm not getting off my ass for anything today. Except maybe during that hour or so between the afternoon game and Sunday night football. lol My Raiders don't play until tomorrow, but that doesn't mean I'm not a fan of the sport. I'll be catching Brett Favre and Chad Johnson (My bad, Chad Ocho Cinco now lol) this morning, T.O and Dallas this afternoon, and Peyton and the gang at night. Perfect slate of football. Game's about to start. Catch you guys later.

New Member of the Squishy Cash Team!

Hey there. I haven't done a damn thing but sign up and I've already made $3+ bucks!! lol Check out the banner at the top! I've read about this site from other blogs and decided to give it a go. I've pretty much just signed up and... BAM! I made some cash. It seems like a casino type site since you not only make money but you get "chips" that you can redeem for prizes and what not. Earn enough chips and you can get yourself some pretty nifty stuff. I'm planning on getting my son a PSP with the cash I've made via this site. After that, I'm looking at MAYBE getting a laptop to blog on the road. Still thinking about that one. I'll more than likely get my wife a Louie Vitton (I know I spelled that wrong) bag. lol I've also seen other friends post thier monthly earnings from various sites. Maybe I'll start doing the same. We'll see. Later
