That's a pretty damn good haul if you ask me. And it's only $80. I think this is a good buy if you plan on getting upgrades for the game anyways. Those usually run you about $10 so if you add another $10 that you would have spent anyways, you can get some pretty neat stuff! Let's be honest here, the majority of us will end up getting the Premium Edition BECAUSE it's $80... but for those of us with extra cash to spend will WANT the Song Bird Edition. Check out the goods that come with the Song Bird Edition:
- Everything in the Premium Edition
- 9.75 inch Songbird statue designed by Robb Waters
How freakin' awesome is that?!?! The man that visualized Sander Cohen, the Little Sisters, the System Shock cover and the Song Bird itself, DESIGNED THE STATUE!!! If that's not a Bioshock's fan's wet dream, I don't know what is!!! The Song Bird Collector's Edition will run you about $150 and it's a pretty steep price for a game... BUT LOOK AT THAT STATUE!!!
This is soooooo bad ass!!!! (Image taken from www.bioshockinfinite.com) |
I've been wanting this game ever since I saw the first trailer for it, so I'm definitely going to get one of these Collector's Editions. For now I'm gonna go ahead and pre-order the Songbird Edition, just in case it actually does turn out to rare (I think most publishers just say that as a marketing tactic, but you never know). Better to be safe than sorry, and I imagine it'll be easier to downgrade to the Premium Edition in the future if I need to rather than upgrade from the Premium Edition to the Songbird Edition.
ReplyDeleteHey there Devin. I'm the same boat my friend! I think that's a pretty smart strategy to reserve the Song Bird Edition and then downgrade to the Premium. That is if the retail stores allow it. I'm definitely going to give it a shot, though. That way if extra funds come in, I can still guarantee myself the Song Bird Edition!
ReplyDeleteThis is an interesting Collector's edition. A must have.
ReplyDeleteWow, the ultimate songbird edition is expensive, but not as expensive as one of the new itouches!
ReplyDeleteI cant wait to play this! I think it will be way coolin the air versus in the ocean...The first one was epic and the second one good but this will breath new life into the series
ReplyDeleteHey there Natasha. I can't wait for this. I'm a huge fan of both of the games. The multiplayer from part 2 could have used a little more work though, but overall, I loved how the story played out. Infinite should reignite the magic and start anew in the skies and I can't wait to see how that story will tie in with Rapture, if at all.
