the collector's editions are only worth it if you REALLY love the game
ReplyDelete>What do you think of collector's editions of games? Worth it or not?
ReplyDeleteTotally not worth it
What do you think of collector's editions of games?
ReplyDeleteIt really depends on what's included in the package, if it's a bunch of crap then it doesn't warrant that kind of extra money because you still get the same game everyone else gets.
depends on whats in them, and how much more they cost, some collector's editions are worth getting, like the mass effect ones for the art books
ReplyDeleteWhat do you think of collector's editions of games? Worth it or not?
ReplyDeleteOnly if you really are a fan, but otherwise no.
They are not really worth it unless it is a good game or it just gives good bonuses.
ReplyDeleteHey there Max! Have you ever purchased a collector's edition?
ReplyDeleteGood to see these responses to my question of the week. I do have to agree with you tumor20. It really does depend on what is in the set. I really believe that the Ultimate Songbird Edition of Bioshock Infinite is really worth it because the statue is really really detailed and awesome looking. Also I really want The Walking Dead game collectors edition as well.
ReplyDeleteHey there Tumor20. $150 is a lot for a collector's edition... BUT HAVE YOU SEEN THE SONGBIRD STATUE?!?! It is freakin' awesome! lol
ReplyDeleteExactly! That statue looks so damn amazing! I really hope to get it and put that on display!!
ReplyDelete>What do you think of collector's editions of games? Worth it or not?
ReplyDeleteAwesome when they have cool stuff with them!!
Usually no, their not worth it, but when it's a game that really appeals to me like Skyrim or Borderlands 2 I do get the collectors edition.
ReplyDeleteusually dont wort it but some CE are must have for real fans
ReplyDeleteSome are worth it .. but some are not !
ReplyDeleteThank you for this giveaway Metallman!
ReplyDeleteWorth it! Awesomeness!
ReplyDeleteThanks for this giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteIn terms of the question, no.
Collector's Edition is not worth the extra money, unless you really really love the game.
Some of them do, that depends of the game and how much you like it.
ReplyDeleteNot worth it.
ReplyDeleteDepends on how much one wants it. And it's really worth it if you get it on sale. I got he Bioshock 2 CE on sale and it was totally worth it!
ReplyDeleteWorth it if you actually want the extras
ReplyDeleteOh, was that the one with the Big Daddy collector's action figure? I remember seeing that and wanting it but I didn't preorder it and couldn't find it anymore. That one looked like it was worth it.
ReplyDeleteNot usually. But some items are cool I guess.
ReplyDeleteIt depends on the game whether the collector editions are worth it. I loved getting the collector editions of Morrowind, Fallout 3 and Skyrim. But some are just not worth it.
ReplyDeleteIt's worth it to different types of gamers. To the casual gamer it may go either way depending on preference. To the Hardcore gamers, i think it would be worth it.
ReplyDeleteSome are worth it, especially if they come with a nice big artbook. Tomb Raider and Metal Gear Rising coming with an action figures is nice, or would be nice if they weren't made by Play Arts.
ReplyDeleteCEs are generally pointless. Especially when all they do is give you DLC. Esp when they're in vouchers. When CEs include actual content on disc that'd be awesome.
ReplyDeleteHey there Wolfkin. I say it's worth it when you receive physical items as opposed to DLC. Especially if they truly are collector's edition items. You know, stuff you cannot buy unless you actually get the CE of the game.
ReplyDeleteI 100% agree with that. I actually prefer trinkets to 'quality' goods though. I find it more annoying than cool when a game's CE includes an 8in figure hand sculpted from granite or what not. I prefer tangible items but there's a limit. Give me an artbook, a CD, and heck a soundboard app or something and I'm pleased as punch.
ReplyDeleteNo - not worth it!
ReplyDeleteSometimes they are - it just depends
ReplyDeleteHey there Wolfkin. I hear ya! I love to get a plush or a t shirt as well. Something that I can hang or wear to show my affection for the game would be just as good. But man, I just could not pass up this Songbird statue. Its just too damn awesome!
ReplyDeleteGlad to see ya comment, Sam! What does it depend on? DLC? Shirts? Toys? In game items? What would make a Collectors Edition worth it for you?
