My daughter asked, "Why are people always taking our stuff?"
It's been a frustrating last two years for my family and I think yesterday's incident may have pushed me over the edge. I spent the latter part of the afternoon and early evening in a police department. The good news? The police have recovered my vehicle. The bad news, I need to go to the DMV to grab all kinds of paperwork to present to the police so that the police department may release my vehicle to me. I'm relieved that I will be getting my vehicle back, considering that when police recovers a vehicle, it's usually in less than desireable conditions. But I do feel horrible that my daughter is beginning to feel victimized. I dont want her to feel that way. It just broke my heart to hear her say that.
You know, they say that when it rains, it pours. We've had a thunderstorm or two that our family has gone through as of late. It looks like we had a break in the clouds for a bit but that storm seems to be relentless. No matter. As my wife put it, we have our health and our family and we'll be ok. We just to need to huddle up under that umbrella for a little bit longer. Later.

I know it must such what you're going through, but just know that after the storm the sun does shine. Just try to stay positive and everything will be alright. Keep your head up Vector!!
ReplyDeleteI am really sorry to hear that someone stole your car! My family's house was broken into and stuff was stolen maybe 10 years ago, so I know how you feel. :(
ReplyDeleteAlso, my dad's car was taken from his workplace several years ago as well. The workplace had security cameras, but they said that they did not record video!!! :(((( So, the police ended up finding the vehicle but it was totally trashed because the criminals had taken it for a joyride. :((((
ReplyDeleteDamn man, sorry to hear that. Best of luck to you and yours.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear you got your vehicle back.....tough times are always followed by brighter moments!
ReplyDeleteWill do, my friend! Thanks for the encouraging words!
ReplyDeleteHey there Betty. Yeah, it sucks. I'm glad that I will be able to recover it. I just don't know what condition it's in just yet. I need to grab a lot of paperwork from the DMV before it can be released to me.
ReplyDeleteHey there Steven. Yeah, man. It definitely sucks! But at least they recovered it. That's better than it being totaled somewhere or not seeing it ever again. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteHey there Nagaraj! Thanks! I'm soooooooo looking forward to those brighter moments because these tough times can really get you down at times. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGood thing is you able to recover your car. Even if you need some paper works for it. If it happens here, it's much worse. Either it's destroyed, burned, or has missing parts. Let's just say that in this world there are people who has nothing to do in their lives than pestering other peoples life. Always keep positive and have faith Metallman! ;)
ReplyDeleteHey there Eian! Yeah, I am extremely grateful that nothing was stolen and it's all in one piece!
