Hey there. It's time to tackle the garage. Spring cleaning season is in full effect and Summer is just around the corner. That means that stuff needs to be cleaned and organized because once Summer rolls around, everyone is going to be looking for their Summer stuff. Whether that be the slip and slide, summer toys, the cooler, or the beach chairs. Our Summers in Southern California are usually spent at the beach and, though it's one great time for the family, getting all of our stuff ready for the trip never is. "Mom, where is my football!" "Dad, I can't find the cooler!" "Mommy, where is my water gun?!" If you're a parent, you know the drill. Nobody can find anything when it's time to go. But you know what? That's not going to happen this year. We're prepared. Well... at least we're going to be. Thanks to our good friends at Mom Central, we have obtained Brother P Touch Labeler! I know it's not a miracle worker, but it's going to make our lives a lot easier! Let me explain.
Our garage, like many, is full of stuff and it's not very organized. We have bins, boxes, and stuff just sprawled all over the place. I know... I know... it should be cleaner than that, but when you have 4 kids going in and out of the garage and mess everything up on a constant basis, it's tough to garner the energy to get in there and clean it up regularly. And because there are 4 kids running around, each one is looking for their stuff. When it comes to the garage, I know that the Brother P Touch Labeler will help identify each of their items. I also plan on labeling each of the plastic bins in there as well. When I first purchased those bins, the wife and I intended them to be used for certain items. I guess that because they were never properly labeled, a mixture of all kinds of stuff were thrown in there and there are not organized at all. Toys, chairs, boxes, bins.... it's ALL going to get labeled and we'll have an update for you at the end of the month!
Now... the garage is MY project. That is something that I plan on doing in the next week or so. My wife, however, found another great use for the Brother P Touch Labeler that I know many of you will find useful. My wife started to clip coupons not too long ago. It's kind of a thing that she started since we've been receiving the Sunday newspaper and it's full of specials and coupons. We would clip them before but guess what would happen? We couldn't find them when we needed them or we simply forgot we had them. My wife started to keep a small binder and began to label certain sections. It has worked GREAT since we started doing it this way. When we go shopping, she'll pull out her little binder, go to the section we're at, and see if we have a coupon for an item that we're planning on buying. Now, we're not EXTREME COUPONERS or antyhing like that, but it never hurts to save a few bucks here and there.
So what kind of Spring cleaning projects do you have planned for your home? Do you have a Brother P Touch Labeler? How do you use it to tackle those organizational oriented tasks? I want to know, friends! Check back in a few weeks to see how far along we've gone with our projects. Later!
I wrote this review while participating in a campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Brother P-Touch and received a product sample to facilitate my review as well as a promotional item to thank me for my participation.
