FanDuel Week 6 Results and Value Picks for Week 7

Hey there.  Week 6 is in the books and another exciting NFL week has come and gone.  I offered a few value picks for FanDuel last week to help your lineups and not all of them panned out as I had hoped.  Specifically, Danny Woodhead.  Woodhead was on pace to hit my predicted score (15 points) but what should have been a TD pass was knocked away at the last second.  Woodhead ended up with 9.6 points, well under the 15 I hoped.  James Jones was the other player that didn't work out.  I had him for at least 14 points and he ended up with only 10.  Jones only had 2 catches for 30 yards, but one of them was a TD catch.  Both Gary Barnidge and Allen Robinson exceeded my point prediction so I hope you guys ended up putting them on your team.  Anyways... after placing my team and entering the $2 single entry tourney, I came up a loser.  The losing streak continues at 2 losses in a row!  I needed 145.20 points to come up a winner and I ended up with 135.66.  I missed out by less than 10 points!!!  So far this season I'm 2 and 4.  I've put in $7 and I've won $9.  Here is my line up for week 6:

Devonta Freeman has just had an unbelievable streak right now.  He's scored above 29 for the last 4 weeks.  I'll continue to ride the hot hand until he comes down to Earth.  Also, DeAndre Hopkins is the clear #1 man at Houston he has had a great 2 week stretch.  Thinking of keeping him on for at least one more week.  Eli, Lewis, and Sneed really blew it for me.  Eli decided to take 2 and half quarters off during Monday night's game against Philly and gave me absolutely nothing after the touchdown pass to in the 1st qtr.  Everyone on the Patriots team was getting the rock during the Indy game.  Everyone, that is, except for Lewis.  I expected a high scoring game and expected Lewis to be a big part of it.  Alas... I was mistaken.  And then there was Sneed.  Willie Sneed is supposed to be the man in New Orleans now but he was only able to haul in 4 catches for 55 yards.  Brees ended up favoring TE Benjamin Watson throughout the game.  *Sigh

Now, it's time to focus on week 7.  Keep in mind, value players are players with a low price tag (Under $7,000) that can potentially get you big points while allowing you the cap space to pick up a top tier player.  I haven't set my squad just yet but here's a couple of value players that I am considering putting on the team:  

Minnesota Vikings WR - Stefon Diggs (FanDuel price $5,800)

The Vikings are hurt at the wide receiver position and that has left QB Teddy Bridgewater looking for a new favorite target.  Diggs is slowly becoming that target.  He has over 200 yards receiving the last 2 games and looks to continue building rapport with Teddy against the Lions.  I see a coming out party soon for this kid.  Could very well be this week.  Pencil him in for 18 points against the Lions.

San Diego Chargers WR - Malcolm Floyd (FanDuel price $5,400)

QB Philip Rivers is tearing up the NFL in passing yards.  He has over 2,000 yards passing in only 6 games!  Because Rivers throws so much, there are going to be plenty of opportunities for the WR corps to get theirs.  I expect Floyd to have a big day against the Raiders defense.  Especially, if #1 SD receiver Keenan Allen is out or not 100%.  Mark it!  Floyd grabs 20 points this week against the Raiders.

Cleveland Browns WR - Travis Benjamin (FanDuel price $6,600)

The second week in a row that I'm featuring a Browns player on this list.  QB Josh McCown is definitely letting it fly and if TE Barnidge is not catching balls, Benjamin is.  Look for Benjamin to break down the seams for a long ball or two against the Rams.  Benjamin snatches 18 points against the Rams.

Arizona Cardinals WR - John Brown (FanDuel Price $6,700)

John Brown is questionable for Monday nights game against the Ravens so keep an eye on his availability.  But if Brown does play, look for he and Fitzgerald to cut up that ugly Ravens secondary.  QB Carson Palmer has looked real good against suspect defenses and Ravens are going to see first hand just how quickly things can get ugly.  Browns slices up 19 points against the Ravens.
