Rockin' the mad scientist hair today. It's what happens when you spend most of the evening cleaning. |
NBA Top Shot
Man... I jumped on the NBA Top Shot game late but this is a great idea and I'm all for it! For those of you that don't know, NBA Top Shot offers you Non-Fungible Token (NFT) moments of NBA players and their best plays. The moments have serial numbers and are offered in very limited quantities. This is essentially like digital trading cards, but the cards are now digital clips and have serial numbers on them.
Anyways, I go on NBA Top Shot to see if I can find any moments to buy on the cheap. I managed to find a Bojan Bogdanovic Limited Edition moment for $8! I thought it was a steal, considering that only 15,000 of them moments exist and I managed to snag one for under $8. Check out the moment here:
Also, I noticed that there is a promo going on where if you create a showcase of some of your moments, you can enter to win a rare Holo Icon Pack from NBA Top Shot. So I figured, why not. I created a showcase and shared on Twitter. I don't expect to win, since my moments are not all that great, but I did have some fun with it. Since I had 4 moments that consisted of dunks, I created a showcase featuring them. But what really made me smile was my Showcase title: Throw it down, big man! lol Check out my showcase (and give it a like while you're at it!)
Oh man... Bill Walton is great! My bro and I would watch a lot of basketball together when we were younger and Bill Walton would throw out that phrase practically every time Shaq dunked. The phrase has etched itself into my being and I just had to use to it when it comes to NBA dunks.
XYO Token
I've been in the digital token game for about a year now. I stated off super small by using this COIN App to get free XYO token. It's basically a GPS type tracker where you earn COIN by mining a location on the map. You can then convert the COIN earned into the XYO token. If you are constantly on the move, then you can mine quite a bit of COIN. Anyways... back in the day, I managed to earn quite a few COIN and ended up converting it to about 933,000 XYO tokens. The tokens were not worth much... we're talking about $.0001-.$0002 per XYO token. 930K of those tokens equated to somewhere around $150 or so. Well... that started to change about a month ago. The XYO token took off! It's jumped about 2000% or so and is worth.... checking Coinbase now... $.0060 per token at the moment!
That means that my 930K in token is now worth over $5500! Dude!!! If the token continues to take off, I'll make a killing just by using a free app!!! So I check in on the price of the coin on the daily and about a week or so ago, it was closer to $.008 per token. Just sayin', you guys might want to jump in on this.Fanduel and Draftkings
I've an avid fantasy sports player. I've been in the game for years, play practically everyday, and have made thousands off of fantasy sports. As a matter of fact, Yahoo Sports deemed me as one of the top Fantasy Football players and I was invited by Yahoo to chat it up with Jamaal Charles on Super Bowl Sunday!
Anyways, I'm in a slump and my basketball and baseball lineups haven't been doing to well. Yesterday's lineups were my first positive night in like 2 weeks. So until I get back on track, I've reduced my entries and have been trying different formulas. Also, it doesn't help that late scratches and NBA news alters the playing field. What's the point of having a player on my team and then he decides he's too dizzy to play a minute before tip off? (I'm looking at you Paul George!!!) And I'm pretty sure that it doesn't help that I'm a bit of a risk taker as well. I go for the homerun, most times, and mostly strike out, but when when I hit... I hit big.
Tonight didn't fare too well. I came up -$80 on Fanduel and -$25 on Draftkings. Ugh... back to the drawing board.
Health
Man, so I went on a jog today and... it did not go well. I over committed to my route and I was tired! I mean, it was only about a 2 mile jog and I couldn't do it too well. My conditioning is horrible! And it didn't help that it was windy so I had dirt and what not flying at me. It felt like it was the universe trying to get me to quit! I weigh about 198 lbs and my ideal weight is supposed to be closer to 170. Decided to take my health a little more seriously after my hernia surgery and all, so I've been trying to get back on track but it's just soooo damn hard! I'm hoping to use today's jog as a wake up call and jump start my health.
Garage Cleaning
Just spent the better part of the evening cleaning the garage. Man... there is so much stuff in there. Things that we've accumulated over the years and it's time to get rid of (or donate) that stuff to make room for the in home gym and office. I need a place to get a good workout in and where I can go to get some work done. It's hard to get podcasting done when the house is so full of life and energy so it would be best for me to be able to go into the garage and just bang out my work there.
It's almost 11PM pacific time and I guess my day is done. So that was pretty much my day, how was yours? Let's hear it in the comments, friends. Later!
