Picture of the Day - Morning Haze

 

Hey there. This morning was a bit of an odd morning. I woke up before 7 am to catch the World Cup match between the US and the Netherlands and when I peeked out the window, I didn't see any haze. Within minutes, this dreary haze washed over the neighborhood and I had to get a picture of it. 

Now, I took a few pictures with different settings but this is the one I liked the most. I used a low f stop setting (F1.8), a fast shutter speed (1/6000), and an ISO setting of 800. I know that these are not the optimal camera settings for a hazy morning but I absolutely love the artistic style of the picture. There is enough noise, or grain, (look at me... using photography lingo. lol) that gives the picture a painting like feel to it. I would say that it gives it a slight oil painting type feel to it... and I love it!
