Day in the Life of Driving to Los Angeles, the Death of Buffets, and the Covid Vaccine

Metallman
I'm tired, guys. I'm beginning to feel yesterday's jog. I'M SORE!!!

Hey there. There wasn't too much to talk about today. I spent about 3 and half hours of the day driving to and from work and didn't get much down time. But that doesn't mean I didn't have any thoughts and conversations. Let's get into it.

Wine or Cheese, What Comes First?

Wine and Cheese
A lot of people have always wondered; wine or cheese, what comes first? In the past, food bloggers have tried to marry food and wine. Some have suggested that red wine goes better with heavier foods and white wines with lighter food and gambling, click here.

Industrial-grade Blender Specifications

Blenders that are used in the home suit the purposes of a small household of people but they simply aren't powerful enough to serve the needs of any business in a food-service industry. More customers means a greater demand for the height, power, and capabilities of the blender systems used to make items such as milkshakes, sliced foods, and baking mixtures. This calls for a blender with high-powered specifications that meet the needs of a business whose goal is to increase its bottom line.

The Differences Between Stevia and Aspartame

Hey there. The wife and I have made a conscience effort in trying to eliminate as much sugar in our lives. I know... I know... it's tough. How are we to enjoy our liquid sunshine (ahem... coffee) without sugar?   Anyways, we've been thinking of switching our regular sugar with something like Stevia.  The problem?  There are so many sugar substitutes out there that it's difficult to know what the difference between them are.  Especially between the top two sugar free sweeteners, Stevia and Aspartame.  If you are like me, you'll want to be informed so let's shed some light on the differences between Stevia and Aspartame.  Check out the infographic below and educate yourself before making a change in your sugar.  Later!

Jack's Munchie Meal is Perfect for a Late Night Meal

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Jack in the Box for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Jack's Munchie Meal at Jack in the Box

Hey there.  Have you ever had the late night munchies?  I know I have and they tend to happen when the wife and I are out at a party.  We eat, we talk, and we dance the night away.  After several hours of having a great time, those late night munchies come knocking!  There have been instances where we leave a party past midnight yearning for a quick late night meal and have come up empty.  We could stop and dine in at a 24 hour restaurant but that defeats the purpose of a "quick" meal.  I want something quick, I want something good, I want something that won't cost me more than a few bucks and fill me up right.  And you know what...  I think I found it!  Check out Jacks Munchie Meals!

The PB+J Organization Helps Fight Against Severe Acute Malnutrition

PB+J Logo
Hey there.  I'm pretty big when it comes to letting people know about awesome charities.  Don't get me wrong, any organization that does charity work for the better of mankind is awesome.  Whether it be providing games for sick kids to play or provide resources for life saving research.  No charity is too big or too small for a shout out.  And with that, the organization that I want to bring to the forefront?  The PB+J Organization!

A Trip to Aruba Would Be Perfect for Our HoneyMoon

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Aruba Tourism Authority for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
I love the scenic views that Aruba has to offer!
Hey there.  I owe my wife a honeymoon getaway.  When we got married, we both worked but we didn't make to much money.  I couldn't afford to get her the wedding ring that she deserved, I couldn't get her the lavish wedding ceremony that she deserved, and I couldn't get her the honeymoon getaway that she deserved.  Next year, it will be our 10 year anniversary and I plan on making up for some of those things.  We're better off financialy, now, than we were before and we are we plan to renew our vows and have a wedding ceremony with friends and family.  I also want to plan that honeymoon trip that we didn't get to enjoy the first time around.  We orignally had our heart set on a Hawaiian honeymoon but a trip to Aruba sounds pretty tempting right now!

Hey there.  It's been awhile since I last had a post.  I'm sorry, guys.  I haven't really been feeling well and I couldn't muster the energy to sit and write.  No worries though! I'm back and at full strength and wanted to give you guys a heads up on what's to come.  A few game reviews are coming, in written and podcast form, a few events that I'll be covering, and I received a press pass for a gaming convention!  How awesome is that?!  Ok... so let's get into the details.  Something tells me this is going to be a lengthy post!

Animaniacs Were One of My Favorites

You guys remember Animaniacs?  Of course you do!  You're awesome, that's why!  I remember watching this everyday after school and it was one funny cartoon.  I recently found out that they are showing reruns on cable TV.  Boomerang?  Nick Toons?  The Hub?  I don't know which one but they are there!  Anyways, I saw this funny comic from Dot and I just had to share.  Later!

February 12th is Pancake Day

Hey there.  Did you guys know that Feb. 12th is Pancake Day?!?!  As I was going about my daily business, I noticed that there was a lot of emphasis put on pancakes.  I thought to myself, well... maybe today people finally realized how awesome pancakes are and decided to show the world!  I mean, c'mon... pancakes are the perfect breakfast food.  When the family and I decide to have breakfast at a restarant, it doesn't matter where, I will order pancakes.  I love them that much.  But I must admit... I missed out on the Pancake Day fun.  I would have loved to have made pancakes for the family, or head on over to a local restaurant for some pancakes for dinner!  Hey!  Pancakes are great anytime of day.  Don't judge me!  lol  Anyways, I missed out yesterday.  But you know what... I don't need wait until next year for some pancake fun!

The World's Hottest Chicken Wings

How spicy can they be?  I mean, they are only made with
chile peppers with skull faces on them!
Hey there. This weekend, I took the family to the Los Angeles County Fair (I'll have a post on our trip real soon) and while there, I stumbled across the hottest chicken wings in the world.  Hmmm...  I know that many of these fairs boast some pretty outrageous claims, but you know what... I love chicken wings and when it comes to spicy food, I don't mind trying new things.  We first passed by the sign shortly after we arrived at the fair and as we enjoyed the fair, I mulled over whether or not I would like to take on that challenge.  As our day came close to an end, we walked by the sign once again.  As we were walking towards the parking lot, it was the wife that mentioned the chicken wings and whether or not I wanted to try them.  At that point, I knew I was going to dive in.  Here is my story told by pictures!

Hey there.  If you want to eat healthy, organic is the way to go.  No pesticides, no preservatives or any other chemicals will seep into your fruits and veggies when you go organic.  Organic foods are considered to be one of the healthiest forms of food.  So how do you know whether or not you really have organic food?  It's not like you planted those tomatoes yourself.  Or did you?  By using Whitney farms products (organic soil and organic plant food) there is no doubt that those great looking tomatoes are organic!

Making Hickory Farms a Family Tradition

Hey there.  No matter what goes down in your daily life, at the end of the day, you come home to your family.  Always inviting, always waiting there for.  It's the best time of day, actually.  Well, at least for me it is.  After working hard all day, it's great to be able to spend some time with the wife and kids and dinner time is a great way to open up with each other and share the day's experiences.  It's a welcome change from the stresses of being a working parent.  And nothing makes the conversation better than an awesome meal from the wife.  But not just any meal, but a meal prepared using some Hickory Farms products.

Already Planning my Turkey Leftovers Dishes

Guest post written by Aliza Simpson

I like to think ahead, especially when it comes to what I'm going to eat. It's something that's really important to me. I mean, you need to eat, but you also should enjoy something that you have to do anyway. So when it comes to big occasions, I like to put a whole lot of thought into what I'm going to cook and also eat.

I'm hosting a friends get together for Thanksgiving and I've already thought of all the leftovers and the meals that I'm going to eat from them. I was online looking up some ideas for that a few days ago when I ran across the site clearwirelessinternetservice.com and after I looked through it a little bit I decided to change over my apartment's internet service to one of the packages on there.

I'm probably going to have a whole bunch of turkey leftovers after my friends come over and everything, and I'm going to make all kinds of yummy turkey wraps and paninis with the leftover stuff. Just hopefully my friends wonÕt want to take too many leftovers home!

Orochon Ramen... I Fear No Noodles

Hey there.  I'm a man of food.  I love me all kinds of food.  People that really know me know that I can eat... and eat a lot.  So friends from time to time recommend places for me to try out.  The wife and I haven't had much of a chance to go out and try new places, her being in recovery mode and all, but pretty soon, that will be behind us and we will continue on our eating adventures!!!!  Well... actually, they'll be my eating adventures.  The wife will dine with me but I doubt she'll see any her meals as adventures or challenges.  lol  Me on the other hand, will definitely be up for foodie challenges everywhere (well... actually in the Southern California area since I'm not rich and can't travel "everywhere") and I've already have my first challenge in my sights.  The Orochon Ramen's #2 Special!
