Nintendo Teams Up with Universal Studios

Universal Studios and Nintendo
Hey there.  Now this is interesting...  It was announced today that Nintendo has entered into a partnership with Universal Studios to allow Nintendo characters and Nintendo themed attractions at Universal Studios Theme Parks.  How cool is that?!  Universal Studios is known for having movie themed attractions so I'm curious to see how they'll incorporate Nintendo games.  Will be have a Super Mario Bros. obstacle course?  A Metroid themed roller coaster?  How about a shoot the target type game featuring Link or Zelda and a bow an arrow (lasers or light based attraction, of course.)?  I think the potential is there to have all kinds of fun at Universal Studios now that Nintendo is on board.  But... considering that Universal Studios is, in fact, a movie studio... is a Nintendo movie in the works?  Maybe a reboot of the Super Mario Bros. movie?  It's possible.  We'll just just have to wait and see!

Super Mario Bros. 3 is the king of 8 bit games.
Get if your Nintendo 3DS and Wii U this April 17!
Hey there.  SUPER MARIO BROS. 3!!!  Possibly the best Mario Game ever to hit home consoles will finally have a chance to show its stuff to the younger generation!  This April 17th, the game will be available on the Wii U and 3DS Virtual Consoles.  Don't tell me that you are not excited!  The Nintendo eShop already has a great line up of classic Nintendo games but it is now filling in that huge hole that was left there by the absence of Super Mario Bros. 3.  So how much will this monumental game cost you?  How about $5.  Yup, you can pick it up for $4.99!

Get a Life Podcast Ep. 7 - The One with Video Game Adventures and Gateway Video Games

Hey there.  Ready for another episode of the Get a Life Podcast?  Awesome!  In this episode, Brian and I discuss our video game adventures.  Gaming has seemingly slipped into our everyday lives and occurs even when NOT gaming.  lol  Also, we touch base on that one gateway video game that molded us into the gamers that we are today.

During our show, we posed the question, "What kind of video game adventures have you had in real life?"  Let's hear it in the comments, friends!  Also, we mentioned one of our favorite charities on our show, the Child's Play Charity, and if you are interested in donating or simply looking for more information, please make sure to check out their website at ChildsPlayCharity.org.  Over $5 million was donated to the organization in 2012 and it would be awesome if 2013 brought that and more for kids in need.

Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon for the 3DS in Stores on March 24, 2013

In stores March 24th, 2013
Hey there. We are all familiar with the many of adventures of Mario and Luigi, but are you guys familiar with adventures of Luigi?  Luigi's Mansion is a great game for Nintendo's Gamecube and it allowed the player to control Luigi as he explored a haunted mansion, fought ghosts, and save his brother Mario.  It was a pretty cool game and the only negative thing that I can say about the game is that the game was too short.  Well, for those of us that was left wanting more, Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, will be released this March, exclusively  for the Nintendo 3DS!
