Reasons to Join Boca Pointe
Hey there. The wife and I are in need of a vacation. When we want to get away, we usually head out over to Las Vegas for a few days and enjoy ourselves there. But this time around, we want to try someplace different. Someplace new. I've heard many good things about Florida and Boca Raton may be a good spot to check out. Especially after reading up about the Club at Boca Pointe. No, this isn't some night life type club, this is a country club in Boca Raton that offers what we're looking for: amazing scenery, sports, arts, fitness, and best of all, worry free vacationing.

Southwest Airlines Vacations Deals, Here We Come
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Southwest Airlines Vacations for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Hey there. It's time for us to get away. Time for us to get away from work, time for us to get away from the errands, and time for us to get away from the kids. lol Don't get me wrong, being a parent is awesome and all, but the wife and I rarely have time to ourselves. We usually get that time during our marriage anniversary and we usually go to Las Vegas to have a few drinks, visit a few dance floors, catch a few shows, and just get away from it all. It's also a great way to rekindle our romance. It's a week's vacation that we look forward to every year. We usually drive to Las Vegas, but I think this year, it's going to be different. I think we're going to fly there and I'm looking to score on an awesome deal from Southwest Vacations! But not just any deal, it's a Southwest Las Vegas Vacations deals!

A Trip to Aruba Would Be Perfect for Our HoneyMoon
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Aruba Tourism Authority for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Hey there. I owe my wife a honeymoon getaway. When we got married, we both worked but we didn't make to much money. I couldn't afford to get her the wedding ring that she deserved, I couldn't get her the lavish wedding ceremony that she deserved, and I couldn't get her the honeymoon getaway that she deserved. Next year, it will be our 10 year anniversary and I plan on making up for some of those things. We're better off financialy, now, than we were before and we are we plan to renew our vows and have a wedding ceremony with friends and family. I also want to plan that honeymoon trip that we didn't get to enjoy the first time around. We orignally had our heart set on a Hawaiian honeymoon but a trip to Aruba sounds pretty tempting right now!
I love the scenic views that Aruba has to offer! |

Catch the Jewels of the Titanic Exhibit at the Luxor Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas Between March 22, 2013 and May 31st, 2013
Hey there. You know... The Titanic is one popular story and depending on your point of view, it can be a story of overconfidence leading to disaster or a story of negligence leading to loss of many lives. Regardless of how you see it, millions of people are simply fascinated by the Titanic. My wife and I are a part of that group. We have a family vacation scheduled to Las Vegas later this year and I recently found out that there is a Titanic Exhibit at the Luxor Hotel! And better yet, if you get there before May 31st, you can get to see the "Jewels of the Titanic!" In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Titanic, a selection of 15 prestigious artifacts found near the wreckage of the Titanic will be displayed the the public in 3 US cities and they are scheduled to be displayed from March 22 to May 31st at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas. The wife is going to be thrilled!

Central New Jersey as a Vacation Destination
Hey there. Earlier this month, the wife and I enjoyed a vacation during our anniversary. When we do get some free time to ourselves, we end up going somewhere local. Somewhere close to Southern California where we can easily drive to and from. Where did go this time around? We went to Las Vegas. Don't get me wrong, it was fun and we had a great time, but you know what... we've done Vegas before. We've done San Diego. We've done Laughlin. We need to head out to the East Coast. We need so check out what the Eastern shore has to offer. While there are some more glamorous spots out East like New York, I've heard that Central New Jersey may be the place to see.

The Kia Rio Scavenger is On in Los Angeles
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Kia Rio for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Hey there. Life's a journey, not a destination. Sometimes we get a little too caught up on the fact that we need to be at certain places that we do not stop to smell the roses. That couldn't be more true than in the city of Los Angeles. We drive EVERYWHERE but we don't really enjoy that drive. Mostly because we're so busy getting to and from work or we're simply stuck in one our congested highways. But what if I said driving can be fun again? That the journey will be awe inspiting and once you get to those destinations, a surprise can be waiting for you? That is what Kia is doing with the Kia Rio Zip and Dash to Los Angeles Geocache Challenge!

Transporting Your Car to Another State Costs What?!?!
Hey there. I was just thinking about a conversation that I overheard at my local U-Haul not too long ago. I needed a truck to move some of my stuff and I figured that I would spend the $50 or whatever it was to get it all done and quickly as possible. But the two men in front of me intrigued me. They spoke about moving from Los Angeles to Lincoln, Nebraska. That's quite a trip... but what really caught my ear was how much the guy spent to transport his car. He told the cashier that he spent over a $1,000 to transport his car from Los Angeles to Lincoln. $1,000!!!

Help Patients Across the US by Becoming a Traveling Nurse
Hey there. You know, I used to make fun of a friend of mine for wanting to become a nurse. It may not sound like a big deal, but he's a guy wanting to become a nurse and I had the mentality that females should be nurses. I know, I know. I'm horrible. I was young and ignorant. After meeting up with him after several years, he opened up to me about why he wanted to become a nurse. He felt that it was his calling after seeing a nurse take such great care of a loved one. It's a great story and it made me realize how much nurses are needed. The doctors may get all the glory but the nurses are the ones doing the ins and outs of taking care of a patient. That's why I suggested he become one of those traveling nurses. Not familiar with the term? Let me explain.

ampm's Too Much Good Stuff Giveaway
This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of ampm for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
Hey there. I am a winner! Whoo hoo! ampm has an awesome promotional giveaway going on right now and I just had to jump on it. I've always been a fan of ampm. The wife and I have even had a few ampm dinners where we just go and grab some of their good stuff and just have ourselves a good time. We don't do it anymore, but every now and then, we'll get that urge and grab a few burgers, hot dogs, and ponder which of the 24 fountain drink flavors from the Thirst Oasis we want. Good times, my friends. Good times.

Wouldn't it be Great to Live in Hawaii
Hey there. I'm jealous of my cousin. Through hard work and perseverance, he has managed to land residency in the island state of Hawaii. Yup, the place that many call paradise. I've seen some of the pictures that have been posted on his Facebook page and the scenery is just breathtaking. I'm a sucker for good scenery and from the stories that I have heard, Hawaii is the place to go. Especially when you hear that the sunsets are to die for. I still owe my wife a honeymoon (married 7 years now) and I want to take her there to make it up to her. Who knows, maybe we'll love it so much that we'll start looking to take residence there too. I'm sure that real estate in Hawaii is prime real estate and be tough to land, but a guy can dream, no?

Southern California! Help Women in Need with The Cinderella Fund by MeatHead Movers
Hey there. I appreciate the aspect of getting things done on your own. I came from a single parent home and it was tough to come by some extra cash for school and what not so when the student athlete brothers needed some cash for school, they did what their bodies could do best, move stuff around. They decided to start a small moving company and named it MeatHead Movers, a comical name taken from the moniker for big athletes that love to hit the gym. They didn't think that it would be as big as it is today.

Some Thoughts on Satellite Internet
Hey there. We live in a digital world and I began to wonder exactly how far we've come in keeping people connected via the internet. You can find the internet almost everywhere. Offices, libraries, and even some fast food places have wifi hot spots for customers to use. Now, I hear that even rural areas getting connected via satellite internet. That's right. Internet via satellite.

Family Trip to SeaWorld
Hey there. I haven't had a chance to catch up with you guys over what went down this Memorial Day weekend. I decided long ago that we were not going to stay home this weekend and we were going to have ourselves a good time. I toyed with the idea of taking the family to Las Vegas, Disneyland, and LegoLand, among many other places but due to high entry prices and/or road trip time, I crossed many of those places out. In the end, I managed to grab a great deal (buy 1 get 1 free) on SeaWorld admission. BAM! We were soooo there.

Hiking in Escondido Falls
Hey there. I've been meaning to post about our hiking trip to Escondido Falls for about 2 weeks now. I've been caught up so many projects and family stuff that I just haven't had the time. This is why I'm posting on a Saturday. lol It's been a long while since I've done some Saturday work. Anyways let me tell you about our trip.
I've been wanting to take the family out to some sort of outdoor activity. Living in Sourthern California definitely has it's perks when trying to decide something like that. There's the beach, hiking trails, camping spots, mountain climbing, and many others and I wanted to do something that I, myself, haven't done. Believe it or not, I've never been hiking so I decided that we're going to look for a trail and go for it. That's when I hear about Escondido Falls and it's waterfall. Whoa... a waterfall. From what I read online, the trail itself is not that bad and is relatively easy to walk through and when you get to the end of it, there's a waterfall to bestow upon. I thought it would be perfect to take the kids and check it out.
The trail was difficult to find. The parking space for the trail is small space and it's right off the famous pacific coast highway. The problem is that there is no sign that says, "trail this way" or anything of that sort so as you're driving, you're swiveling your head keeping an eye out for a sign showing you the way. Naturally, we missed the entrance, and on our second pass, we see it. We parked on the gravel and walked towards the trail. It's weird at first because you are walking near a residential area so there are houses around you. Once you go further into that residential community, the trail begins.
The trail is simple enough and there is nothing too difficult to overcome. There were a few small creeks that you get to jump and walk over so that was pretty cool and after about a 3 mile hike or so, you reach the waterfall. The kids loved it. We gazed at it for a bit and took some pictures. It would have been great to take some lunch and have a picnic there. The scenery would have been perfect.
Shortly after, the boy and I decided to climb a litter higher to check out the top of the falls. That hike is for more adventure seekers and is a difficult climb. After using a rope to get up a steep uphill trail and walked around a small narrow cliff edge like path, we managed to reach the second waterfall. Not too shabby, but there's more climbing to do. The third waterfall blew the first 2 away. It was definitely worth the climb. The whole area was misty because of the force that the water was hitting the small pond. It was simply breath taking.
All in all, an awesome time. If you're in the Southern California area, I highly recommend the hike. Again, the main trail itself is not a difficult hike so it's not a strenuous walk, but to reach the other waterfalls near the end is definitely more difficult. Only the boy and I went up since I didn't think he ladies would have been able to do it. Well, let me rephrase, I think they would have been able to do it if they took their time, but because there's a lot of hikers going up and down and you literally have to stand in line or move out of their way, the chances of slipping and falling rise.
I also wanted to bring this picture to your attention. Can somebody tell me what that thing in the sky is?
We didn't notice that thing when we first took the picture and my wife claims that it's a bird. I don't know... I think it's a UFO. She just doesn't believe. lol In my opinion, it seems to far away to be a bird. There would be more clarity to the "bird" if it was close by but it's pretty damn fuzzy, which tells me that it's off in the distance. What do you think? Later!
