My Molting Tarantula

Vixin!!!  I didn't know you had a twin sister!
Hey there.  You know what happened last week?  My tarantula, Vixin, molted!  For those of you not in the know, molting is to spiders what shedding is to snakes.  Because a spider's exoskeleton is on the outside of their bodies, they need to break out of it when they get too big for it.  If you didn't know any better, would think that your tarantula split into 2!  Vixen has molted twice before and both times I only saw the aftermath.  Not this time though!  Here's the story.

Are DVDs Surging or Losing the Battle with Online Streaming Media?

Hey there. I'm a movie guy. I love movies. I'll try to catch movies whenever I can. But you know what... I've found myself watching more movies via streaming media more than anything else. Is that a good thing? I don't find myself buying many dvd movies as much as I used to since I usually find what I'm looking for on Netflix.  But the separation of streaming and DVD plans have irked many customers.  They love the streaming aspect of it but do not want to pay extras for DVD or Blu-ray formats.  So...  does this mean that Red Box will take that business away from Netflix?

Hey there.  You know... I wonder if God owns a phone.  How else can you explain the Carson Palmer trade from Cincy Bengals to the Oakland Raiders?  This deal has the late great Al Davis written all over it.  Davis was notorious for trading picks for player he believed would better the Raiders.  And now, we have learned that the Raiders have traded away the 2012 first round pick and the 2013 second round pick, which could be a  first round pick depending on Palmer's performance, for the former Heisman winner, Carson Palmer.
