Hey there. Can you imagine a life without water? We use water for soooooo many things. We bathe in it, water our grass, clean the dishes, and most importantly, we drink it. What if I were to tell you that there are many nations out there that do not have the water to drink? Feels horrible, no? We are fortunate enough to have water but let's be honest, not many people do. That's why I love what the guys at CausePub and Blood: Water Mission are doing. They have written a book that will go on sale tomorrow and the proceeds will go to help bring clean, fresh water to African comminities that need it. How awesome is that?! The book is called Couch Rebels and it is a collection of stories from people who had experiences that were outside of their comfort zone and how those expreiences changed them for the best. An inspirational book for a worthy cause.

Thoughts on... The Purge
Hey there. What would you do if any and all crime was legal for 12 hours? Would you lock down at home? Would you go out and loot, steal, and kill to your heart's content? If allowing all crime to be legal for 12 hours will guarantee you that there will be NO crime for the rest of the year, will your moral compass accept "The Purge?" When I first heard of this movie, I thought that the concept of it was intriguing. Sometime in future America, for 12 full hours, all crime is legal. There will be no cops, no medical personel. Every man, woman, and child for themselves. This, my friends, is The Purge. By allowing the citizens to participate in The Purge, crime during the rest of the year is practically non existant. I caught this movie last weekend and I must say that I definitely have some thoughts on it, but first, a warning: SPOILERS AHEAD!!! Go catch the movie, and then come back and let's have a discussion, friends! Now, my thoughts on... The Purge.

Bring Awareness to Hepatitis with the Three Unwise Monkeys Campaign
Hey there. I have a cousin does awesome work at a local clinic. One of her main functions is to drive awareness to dangers of unprotected sex. She's constantly reminding the community of free HIV testing and she has participated in seminars in schools to make our youth aware of the disease. Now, HIV and AIDS may be the sickness that gets headlines, but did you know that hepatitis is just as lethal? A study by The Global Burden Disease showed that viral hepatitis was responsible for just as many deaths as HIV and AIDS. That's a pretty big eye opener, no? So I'm going to follow in my little cousin's footsteps and help bring awareness to the community. Here are some details about hepatitis:
